Fine silver jewellery workshops and textile workshops

Rohana Stoddart trained as a theatrical costumier working with textiles and textile embellishment. Much of the embellishment incorporated silver and gold threads, beads of all shapes and sizes and a variety of metals, including sterling silver. DATES

 

 

Some years ago, Rohana heard of a product that was as pliable as clay yet fired to produce pure silver. Intrigued, she began her research and started working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). Rohana studied in America with artists CeCe Wire and Jackie Truty; there she learned about two sided texturing, moulding and sculpting, along with templates, textural overlays and other adornments.

Whatever your skill level, this is a wonderful chance to be creative and make something truly unique. Places are limited so early booking is advised. Tools, textures, equipment and firing are included along with refreshments and a stylish lunch on site. An extra firing is offered for those wanting to experiment at home.
